China Domains and Identity

In WP Legends Episode 118, we’re joined by Joy Xue, Director of Regional Business in China at ShortDot, for a deep conversation on domains, compliance, and digital identity in one of the world’s most complex digital markets.

We explore new TLDs, legacy domains versus new extensions, registrar and hosting partnerships, global expansion challenges, DNS abuse prevention, and how platforms like Alibaba are accelerating website creation through AI-powered tools.

As launching a website becomes easier than ever, the importance of trust, compliance, naming strategy, and scalable digital identity becomes even more critical.
