MCP-Native Domains, AI Agents & 20 Years in Hosting

In WP Legends Episode 165, Thomas Medard shares his journey from co-founding the Danish hosting company B1 (later renamed 1.com) to launching AI Vikings, an MCP-first domain registrar built for AI agents to search, register, and manage domains on a human's behalf.

They explore what it took to land 1.com's first 1,000 customers in the early 2000s, why building credibility for a new TLD takes over a decade, the legal question of whether an AI agent can ever be a domain registrant, and why Thomas is betting AI Vikings' entire roadmap on tools for agents instead of a traditional browser-based buying experience.
