Adrian Spiac

In Episode 30 of WP Legends, we sat down with Adrien, Co-founder of TranslatePress and Cozmos Labs, the team behind some of the most popular WordPress plugins powering multilingual websites, membership platforms, and more.

Adrien’s journey began in the early days of WordPress as an agency developer, where he quickly spotted recurring client pain points complex user registrations, clunky membership setups, and difficult translations. This led to building Profile Builder, Paid Member Subscriptions, and ultimately TranslatePress in 2018, now one of the most widely used translation plugins with over 400,000 active installs.

In this episode, Adrien shares how TranslatePress disrupted the multilingual WordPress space with a front-end visual editor, SEO-first translation approach, and seamless WooCommerce compatibility. He opens up about growing a fully remote team of 19, acquiring WP Webhooks to strengthen automation for WordPress, and why founders should personally do customer support to stay close to users.

We also dive into the role of AI in translations, the future of WordPress over the next 5 years, and why making WordPress more accessible to non-technical users is key to its continued growth.

Whether you’re a plugin developer, agency owner, or WordPress enthusiast, this episode explores what it takes to identify real problems, build sustainable products, and scale in the ever-evolving WordPress ecosystem.
